Joseph Anthony Marquez, Jr. is a music producer in the Los Angeles area. He was introduced to music performance and composition at the age of six, studying with Ruth Humphries and Peter Yazbeck. Joe has performed works by Bach, Chopin, and Balakirev and has performed movements of Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Thousand Oaks Philharmonic. Besides piano, he is also proficient in alto saxophone and has performed at music festivals in the Ventura County Area.
While his academic studies focused on psychology and premedical studies, Joe composed classical music throughout his four years of college and studied piano and composition with Yale School of Music faculty, including pianist Elizabeth Parisot and composer Kathryn Alexander. With a strong classical background and understanding of music theory, Joe currently produces music of all genres for artists in the United States under the mentorship of Cory Rooney with sights set to enter the DJ live-performance realm in 2020.
